Creates a CAR in the eCATS tool that is:
Actionable.
Tied to a requirement.
Accurate with all required fields completed.
Reviews CAR response in a timely fashion to verify planned corrective actions will correct the problem that occurred.
Participates on a natural team, if needed.
Has ultimate responsibility for the management of CARs assigned to them.
Monitors CAR Reports to ensure CARs are progressing through the process in a timely manner.
Approves CAR plans.
Ensures CAMP process is used appropriately and will accomplish true root cause corrective action.
Ensures that CARs do not close without Follow-up and Effectiveness reviews where required.
Responds with a corrective action plan by the “due from owner” date on the Assignment tab.
Accepts ownership of the CAR from start to finish.
Forms a natural team to work the finding through effective implementation.
Uses CAMP process to determine the root cause in a timely manner.
Keeps SPOC informed of overall CAR progress.
Communicates questions and concerns about CARs to the SPOC and Corrective Action Board.
